Green Screen Movie Set Report
by Ruth
We are making the movie Life of a Rock, as a short movie. We decided each kid should do a scene, and went to find a rock to be our star. We gave it a name: Rocky. We won't give to much away, but we got halfway through filming, with new ideas on the way, a surprise encounter with a crow! When we went back inside, we thought of how fun it would be if Rocky stayed as a pet rock, & we could say years from now - "Yup, this rock is famous, a rockstar! He starred in Life of a Rock, and Life of a Rock: the Sequel.
Alexandria
by Jack
Today's YouthCity highlight kid is Alexandria, not Lexi, not Xandria, not Alex, not Alexis, but Alexandria. Monday, since there are multiple Alexes (Alexi?; Alex's?), we decided to vote on Alexandria's nickname. Her real name was Alex, but there was another Alex, so we decided to name her Alexandria. That was her pick after we came up with a few options. Alexandria is a very nice kid, she never gives up, and she is very caring with others. We are very lucky to have her here at YouthCity.
