Wrap-up
As we near the end of session 1, one word comes to mind: Unpredictability. In so many ways we were thrown curveballs, and more often then not we hit the ball head-on. Friends were made, lessons learned, fun was had, and as the dust clears, we're looking forward to the other half of the summer. We managed to build a green screen, build new hobbies, learn new games, (like liar's dice, and village idiot) and we even invented a few. We did art, there was a lot of string craft, we picked up three new salamanders, about which there was a huge debate about whether to keep them (we kept one). We ended up getting stranded at Brighton, but we prevailed. We survived YouthCity olympics, twenty-five, roughly, team cleans, made a whole lot of street graffiti, painted our windows thoroughly, swam every day, and we're only half way through.
